Performance
At launch, the 2024 Volkswagen ID.7 will have a single-motor layout with rear-wheel drive. However, a two-motor system with all-wheel drive is expected to arrive soon. The single-motor system delivers 282 horsepower and shoots the vehicle up to a comfortable cruising speed of 60 mph in just five seconds flat. The ID.7 will have several adjustable drive modes as well.
This EV will have the same battery pack as you will find in the ID.4, with a range of roughly 300 miles. A larger battery pack may be released soon with a longer range.
Technology and Safety Features
The 2024 ID.7 will be equipped with the Level 2 IQ.DRIVE technologies. These are active safety features like Park Assist Pro with Memory, adaptive cruise control, lane departure warning, and automatic emergency braking. The cabin will also be well-equipped with advanced technologies. These include a 15-inch floating display screen, ambient cabin lights, voice assistance, and a new infotainment system.
The climate control system is electronically controlled and includes air vent memory functions. Additional features include an electrochromic and dimming panoramic sunroof, an augmented reality head-up display, and massaging front seats with drying, cooling, and heating functions.
Interior
The interior of the 2024 ID.7 has unrelenting appeal with its quality materials and commanding design. The design is established by a tall, molded dashboard with several horizontal accents flowing across it. Embedded in these accents is a band of cabin lighting. This theme extends to the ascending center console.
Behind the leather-wrapped steering wheel, the digital driver's gauges have a low-profile design while delivering all the essential data necessary for a safe, confident drive.
Exterior
The VW ID.7 features an impressive design that extends across the exterior. It boasts a low-profile, dramatically arched roofline with a gentle swell across the hood. From the side, you will find a curved, smooth contour and pinwheel-style wheels. A thin, black bar rolls across the front bumper and bisects the aerodynamic air vents.
Above these features, the narrow LED headlights have a piercing quality and are topped by an angled LED bar. The headlights' LED bars are linked by a single accent line that flows across the nose and holds the classic VW logo. At the rear, you will find a continuation of the ID.7's linear design elements displayed by a single, wraparound taillight.
